Yale Door and Window Solutions unveils new
developments on AutoEngage multipoint lock
Since its launch in 2019,
Yale’s Lockmaster AutoEn-
gage lock has made great
developments in quality,
durability and conveni-
ence.
The multipoint lock-
ing system is known for
combining security and
versatility to create the ide-
al solution for a wide range
of door applications. Now,
with new commitments to
fire door safety and sustain-
ability, the AutoEngage lock
continues to set the stand-
ard for both contemporary
and heritage doorsets.
Providing a range of new
user features and benefits,
the Yale Lockmaster Au-
toEngage multipoint lock
will now be available in
stainless steel as standard,
resulting in advanced prod-
uct durability, improved
aesthetics and reduced
carbon footprint.
As part of Yale’s com-
mitment to fire safety, the
Lockmaster AutoEngage
is designed and tested to
exceed the requirements
of FD60, when tested as
part of a doorset. The FD60
specification tests door-
sets to withstand at least
60 minutes of protection
against fires.
The AutoEngage lock
also features a new
holdback snib to prevent
accidental lockouts; as well
as an automatic lock mech-
anism which engages as
soon as the door is closed
– making it ideal for the
growing trend in non-lever
operational door styles.
Available for both com-
posite and timber doors,
and with backsets now
available in 45mm, 55mm,
and 65mm, the AutoEngage
is designed and built to
Yale’s exacting standards.
Thanks to a unique
gearbox design, the system
can be used with either key
retract or lever operation
furniture, making it suit-
able for a wide range of
applications.
Paul Atkinson, Sales and
Commercial Director at
Yale comments: “We are
so pleased to announce
our developments on the
Lockmaster AutoEngage,
and we are always working
towards a more durable,
sustainable and accessible
future for all our product
ranges.
“The AutoEngage system
is designed to offer leading
installation tolerance to
aid easy fitting, and is also
extremely easy to use –
therefore ideal for residents
with limited dexterity. We
hope this product will add
convenience as well as im-
proved security to homes
across the UK.”

TUFFX LAUNCHES ‘INFINITY’ ROOFLIGHTS BRAND
Toughened glass specialists TuffX
have announced new branding
for its thriving rooflight range,
which is now called Infinity.
The new Infinity brand
name has been chosen to
reflect the premium quality
and contemporary aes-
thetics of TuffX’s rooflight
range, which launched
almost 18 months ago with
a fixed flat glass rooflight
and was extended with a
thermal walk-on version
shortly afterwards.
The newly renamed
Infinity rooflights are
designed to increase the
flow of natural light into the
home. The Infinity fixed flat
glass rooflight is available
as double or triple glazed,
while the Infinity thermal
walk-on rooflight has been
designed to be fitted either
internally or externally,
making it the ideal choice
for basement conversions
or roof terraces. All Infinity
rooflights are available in
either standard or bespoke
sizes, in a range of glass
finishes and glazed into a
powder-coated aluminium
frame as a complete unit,
ready for installers to drop
in and secure into place
hassle-free.
“Branding our successful
rooflights range Infinity
reflects both the superior
quality of our products and
also our ongoing commit-
ment, as the UK’s market
leader in toughened safety
glass, to offer customers the
very best on the market,”
said TuffX’s Managing Di-
rector Graham Price.
“Our Infinity rooflights
help increase the flow of nat-
ural light into indoor spaces,
whilst being low-mainte-
nance with excellent thermal
insulation and light transmis-
sion. In short, TuffX’s Infinity
rooflights offer a fantastic
opportunity for installers to
add an attractive, high-value
and hassle-free addition to
their portfolio.”
The Infinity rooflight
range is available in
standard or bespoke sizes
on a short lead time from
three to seven days, with
delivery nationwide to
anywhere in the UK from
Tuffx’s Merseyside state-of-
the art processing facility.
TuffX’s facility in Knowsley,
Liverpool, was recently ex-
panded as part of a £700k
investment, reflecting the
company’s commitment to
offer customers a growing
range of high-performing,
quality glass products in
record lead times.
As well as the rebrand-
ing of its Infinity rooflights
range, TuffX are also in the
final stages of developing
an innovative heated glass
product called Glow. Set to
launch officially later this
year for use in bi-folding
doors, skylights, conserva-
tories, and as a component
within tiled roof systems,
it has the potential to
replace radiators in rooms
where layout is problem-
atic or when wall space is
limited.
