YALE AUTOENGAGE LOCKS FROM VBH ‘Slam Shut’ style door locks are becoming increasingly popular on composite or wooden en- trance doors where fixed pull handles, knobs or finger pulls are preferred to lever handles. When the door leaf is closed (or slammed) into the frame, the automatic lock mechanism instantly triggers the security latch- es, which engage into the striker plates. This negates the need to lift a lever to throw the locking points prior to dead-locking through the key. The door is opened by turning the key, which retracts the latches and central deadbolt. Yale AutoEngage’s lock- ing action allows greater flexibility in door design whether on traditionally styled doors where a knob might be used, or on mod- ern, contemporary styles that lend themselves to the clean lines of stainless steel pull handles, such as those of the greenteQ Coastline range. The locks are available with a choice 35 or 45mm backsets and a range of 16 or 20mm faceplates, includ- ing a 20mm radiused end version. AutoEngage locks are all PAS24:2016 com- pliant and are approved under VBH’s Q-secure mul- ti-brand guarantee. www.vbhgb.com Andrew Royle, Sales and Marketing Director at P C Henderson, commented, “We’ve sold flush pulls and lock sets for a number of years now but the range was very focused. As the popularity of sliding door hardware in the home has grown, so has the require- ment for increased variety. People naturally want their door hardware to com- plement the surrounding décor.” The new range includes an innovative door edge pull, perfect for pocket doors, soft closing doors and heavier doors which need a little more lever- age. Style options include oval, rectangular, circular or square and finishes includes satin, chrome and a new contemporary matt black finish. A new indi- cator lock has also been introduced which is ideal for sliding pocket door systems used in bathrooms and en-suites. www.pchenderson.com Abloy launches mobile digital key and extremely weatherproof Bluetooth padlock Abloy Oy unveiled its newest innovation in digital keys, the ABLOY BEAT.
