The Glazing Summit is the brainchild of Andrew Scott , CEO of Insight Data and Purplex Marketing , who have organised the event . Andrew started in the window industry in 1986 and has acquired , built and sold several window companies . He created the business strategy that propelled Cambrian Windows from a small £ 1m commercial fabricator into a £ 12m trade fabricator in 48 months , before the business was acquired by Masco .
He commented : “ Our industry is worth over £ 4 billion , has over 15,000 companies and employs tens of thousands of people . After Insight Data published the latest Window Industry Report we were swamped with industry leaders wanting answers to some big questions . The Glazing Summit aims to answer these questions , but it will also give delegates the opportunity to network with peers , suppliers and industry media .
