HELPING TO BRING THE INSIDE … OUTSIDE!

Birmingham-based Skyview is an official Warmcore aluminium window and door partner and as one of the UK’ s leading fabricators, it offers a full range of products that help connect outdoor and indoor living space.
For over nine years, Skyview has provided frames, glass, roofs, doors, conservatories and orangeries and in 2016, Skyview invested in new machinery as part of the exciting and exclusive launch to expand the Warmcore product range in 2016.
Skyview managing director, John Sewell, said:“ When connecting your indoor and outdoor living space, bi-fold doors are a contemporary way to transform a property and create really stunning, light-filled living areas. This allows homeowners to blur the lines between where‘ indoor space’ ends and your garden begins.”
Bi-fold doors can help create a unique living space as they can fill the full width of your property or conservatory, creating panoramic views, and creating
a unique living space that is as versatile as it is stunning.
John Sewell said,“ WarmCore is different. From inception, this revolutionary window and door system was designed to be as thermally efficient as possible. We have seen the Warmcore bi-folding doors become our most popular option for modern living areas
where the inside and out are to be merged. Slim square framing and a flush floor finish from inside to out are important factors in creating that merging of inside and out.”
With Warmcore, gone are the days of rigidly defined spaces. Warmcore folding doors were born with the ethos and flexibility
that can help the homeowner create a space that works for them. Bi-fold Doors are perfect for all seasons too, as they can be kept closed in winter to watch rain and snowstorms from the warmth and comfort of a favourite chair and in spring and summer, slide them wide open for days of al fresco living.
With the innovative design of the Warmcore folding sliding doors the door sashes can be split in whichever way that will best
suit the home, all going to the left or to the right or split in any combination. It also allows the majority of the door sashes to be locked in one place, just using a single door for everyday use, rather than having to fully open them every time.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

As all window fabricators and installers know, the trend for outdoor living has increased over the last few years, especially with the introduction of the bi-folding door and the phrase‘ Bringing the outdoors in.’
Bi-folding door specialist, Whiterose Windows Limited, operates from two premises in West Yorkshire, a large old mill complex in Queensbury, which has recently been extended, and a factory unit in Brighouse. The company mainly supplies to the trade, fabricating a complete range of bespoke products including windows, bi-folding doors, sliding patios, and commercial doors, using both Smarts Architectural Aluminium or energy rated, quality Liniar PVCu Profile.
When Whiterose expanded its range to include aluminium, around five years ago, it went through the same process as it did when originally choosing the Liniar
PVCu system to manufacture. It took time researching the system that best suited its client’ s needs and, after consulting with its customers, found that the Smarts system came out on top for being an industry recognised, quality, affordable system.

fixed prices for our bi-fold sets, regardless of configuration

This year, with the increase in space, Whiterose is hoping to vastly improve its current lead times on the most popular aluminium colours, whilst remaining competitive with its transparent pricing. Tony Smith, owner and director of Whiterose Windows, commented:“ Our lead time for PVCu, especially Modloc bi-folds, has always been very quick within the market place, so hopefully, by increasing our facilities and employing more staff, we will also be able to significantly improve our current lead time of three to four weeks on standard coloured aluminium products in 2017.”
He went on to add:“ As a business, we operate to economies of scale rather than relying on big margins. This allows us to offer our products at very competitive prices, for example we have fixed prices for our bi-fold sets, regardless of configuration.”
Whiterose has recently added a new string to its bow, starting to manufacture Liniar’ s brand new creation, Alumina, which is a true aluminium bi-folding door system, beautifully sculptured and foiled to match perfectly with the full Liniar product suite. Alumina can achieve U-values as low as 1.2 W / m ² K. With its sleek lines and greater efficiency, it offers the best of both worlds.
