Silicone sealants are an essential component in any window installation, making mastic guns a musthave in every fitter’ s toolkit. This brand-new heavy-duty gun is a smart choice for any professional looking to equip themselves with tools to help them achieve better results in less time.
Unlike many low-cost alternatives, the Xpert dripless gun won’ t continue to
|
ooze out silicone when the trigger is released. No mess means minimal clean-up for a faster, neater job. What’ s more, with no wastage, a single tube goes even further, saving money too.
Xpert product manager, Karl Williamson, explains,“ our dripless gun offers professional fitters a welcome relief from over-eager, oldschool guns that annoyingly carry on squeezing out product even though you’ ve
|
stopped squeezing the trigger! It’ s a reliable, durable piece of kit that does exactly what it says.”
Suitable for use with most caulks, sealants or adhesives, the Xpert dripless gun takes both standard 400ml and larger sized tubes for ultimate flexibility. The rotating barrel and ergonomic grip make for a comfortable, adjustable hold to give controlled, precise application. A handy hook
|
on the back means the gun can be hung up when not in use so it’ s always within easy reach.

UPGRADING HARDWARE VEKA trade fabricator Consort has announced that all its residential doors will be supplied with Trojan’ s stainless steel door hardware.
Jeff Dunn, head of sales and marketing at Consort, said:“ Our industry has experienced a noticeable increase in the volume of door hardware that is pitting and corroding. This can cause much irritation to the homeowner resulting in a remedial visit for the installer. Stainless steel hardware is not affected in this way, which
is why Consort will now be using Trojan’ s stainless steel door hardware on all residential doors.”
As well as helping to reduce callouts, the decision to switch to stainless steel hardware will give Consort installers an additional unique selling point at the point of sale. Jeff said:“ The anti-corrosion benefits of stainless steel give homeowners added reassurance that they are investing in a high-quality product for their home.”
