Helping hand for the Samaritans Demand
grows for
telemarketing
Bennion & Sons, a
West Yorkshire-based
member of The VEKA
UK Group’s Approved
Installer Scheme, has
fabricated and fitted a
comprehensive window
installation for its local
Samaritans.
The job involved installing 18 new windows and
a porch and took five men
two days to complete.
Bennion & Sons, established in South Kirkby more
than 100 years ago, started
out as a building contractors
before focusing on window,
door and conservatory manufacture in the mid 1980s.
“Three of the Samaritans’
volunteers had used our
services before,” explained
Managing Director, Sam
Bennion. “We were thrilled
that their positive experiences with our company
translated into additional
work and customer loyalty,
even in the context of their
work premises.
“Word-of-mouth referrals
such as this are a great way
to win business, and we
find that our Approved Installer status certainly helps
to reinforce our credentials
with new and prospective
customers. Pair that with the
huge variety of promotional
materials, exclusively available to Approved Installers
through the online Marketing Hub, and we’re able to
promote ourselves in a truly
professional way that instils
customer confidence.”
Bennion & Sons was one
of the first manufacturers
to adopt VEKA’s new M70
profile and used it in this
installation.
Jayne James, Director at
Wakefield Samaritans added:
“The whole experience of
working with Bennion &
Sons was second to none.
As a charity our funds are
very tight, so we have to ensure that a huge outlay such
as our new window project
is both value for money and
of a high standard. Bennion
& Sons far exceeded our
expectations.“

Insight Data, the specialist data
provider for the window industry, has
expanded its call centre to handle an
increased demand for its telemarketing service.
The company provides specialist outbound
telemarketing services for lead generation,
product and service promotion, market
research and customer surveys.
Jade Greenhow, operations manager at
Insight Data commented; “We’ve seen a
significant increase in demand for telemarketing. With everyone busier than ever and
bombarded with marketing messages, it is
increasingly difficult to stimulate a response
to traditional and digital marketing methods
– but a telephone call cuts through all the
‘white noise’ and demands attention.”
Telemarketing is best used following up a
direct mail or email campaign, which creates some awareness and leaves recipients
more responsive to taking a call.
Insight Data has a dedicated call centre
equipped with state-of-the-art telecoms
and software systems. Telemarketing personnel are full-time employees who are
hand-picked and professionally trained in
call-handling. They also undertake a monthly window industry training programme
so they understand the supply chain and
products.
“Being called by someone who doesn’t
really understand your business, products
or market is extremely irritating. But we
know exactly what to say and understand
fully our clients’ product range and offering.
This means we connect with decision makers and build rapport, which leads to better
brand awareness and a dramatic increase in
response,” adds Jade.
Insight Data is an accredited member
of the Direct Marketing Association,
and all calls comply with the Telephone
Preference Service (TPS and CTPS) to
meet current legislation. Call 01934
