Decorative cladding wake-up call
National Plastics,
the UK’s largest independent trade counter
network, stocks one of
the industry’s biggest
range of internal decorative cladding panels,
helping trades people
and DIYers to take advantage of the benefits
they offer.
Geoff Foster, Managing
Director of National Plastics,
comments: “More and more
people are waking up to the
possibilities that decorative
wall and ceiling cladding
represents. Our range has
grown steadily year on year
and because of the size of
the range we now offer,
we have something to suit
everyone.”
The range includes products from France, Belgium
and China and features
four different widths from
250mm up to 1m as well
as 5mm, 8mm and 10mm
thicknesses. The ranges
include Dumaplast, with
a unique locking system,
Freefoam’s Geopanel,
Consortias as well as Swish
Marbex Panel. Designs
include marble, sparkle and
mosaic as well as stone and
the latest tile effects. The
offering is completed with
a comprehensive range of
finishing touches, trims and
adhesives.
The extent of the range
of decorative cladding
demonstrates National
Plastics’ ethos of making
tradespeople’s lives as easy
as possible by being a onestop shop.
To continue to build on its
success, the company has
plans to take its number
of depots to 50 by the end
of 2017 and is launching a
campaign to help it choose
locations most in need of
the advantages the network
offers. Called We Want
Better, the campaign offers
people the opportunity to
win £5,000 of free stock
in return for logging on to
www.wewantbetter.co.uk to
let National Plastics know
where they want a depot.

A Doncaster-based supplier of PVCu
doors and windows has endorsed The
VEKA UK Group’s two tiers of support.
Direct Trade (Yorkshire) Ltd says its status
as both an Approved Fabricator and a Network VEKA member means it is part of an
‘unbroken chain of quality.’
The business, established in 1998, operates out of two 40,000 sq ft facilities where
it manufactures PVCu windows and doors
using The VEKA UK Group’s Halo profile.
Direct Trade’s Managing Director, Steve
Green, said: “One of the main benefits of
working with The VEKA UK Group has
always been the renown it holds, in the
industry and with end customers.
“It reflects well on our business to carry
products of such high quality and diversity.
Being an Approved Fabricator and a Network VEKA member really helps us make
the most of our relationship with the group.
A prerequisite of both initiatives is that their
respective installers must source their systems from authorised fabricators.”
The initiatives mean products are fitted
by a top notch installer, and there are clear
benefits for repeat business and building
rapport with home improvement companies, nationwide.
The Approved Installer Scheme offers an
introduction to incentives, including an exclusive online marketing hub where companies can customise professionally designed
marketing materials with their own logo
and contact details.
Network VEKA ensures companies are
continually assessed to meet the high standards required for membership. Benefits
include insurance-backed guarantees, legal
advice, finance options, and the Network
VEKA Academy – where businesses can
enrol new or existing employees into
industry-recognised traineeships or apprenticeships.
