An exciting future
for conservatory
roof installers
Joe Leeming, Sales Manager
for Supalite Roofs, shares
his excitement about the
future of the solid tiled conservatory roof market and
why it is such a great time to
be an installer.
Perhaps it is the start of spring,
those first signs that daylight is
more prominent than darkness,
but I can’t help feeling that this
is a great time to be a solid tiled
conservatory roof installer.
As a roof system designer and
manufacturer, it feels like there are
just so many great opportunities
ahead. Sales of our Supalite products are at an all time high, and
the number installers fitting it are
growing by the day.
We are all in a growing market,
but for installers the sales opportunities are even bigger. If it is a
new-build application every solid
‘We have not
scratched the surface
of the demand yet’
tiled conservatory roof of course
brings with it the sales of windows and doors, often bi-folding
doors with the added financial
value that they contribute, and if it
is a replacement roof it is a brand
new opportunity in itself, which
would not come along if they
were not in the market.
The market for solid tiled
conservatory roofs is estimated
to be around one million opportunities and as a sector we have
not scratched the surface of the
demand yet.
It is why those installers who
have already discovered solid
tiled roofs and have chosen a
quality supplier are already in
such a great position to maximise
the sales opportunities the better
weather will bring.
But for those companies not
already taking a solid tiled roof
product there is still time to get
on board. The Supalite network
is expanding all the time and
there are still areas of the country
where we are looking for installers.

Installing the home of the future now
Up until now, smart
home technology has
been very much the
preserve of the super
rich or gadget geeks.
But according to smart
home tech developer LightwaveRF, this is beginning
to change, as a result of a
growing demand amongst
homeowners for greater
energy efficiency and convenience when it comes to
controlling home appliances.
So what is “smart
home technology”
and how is it
installed?
Part of the Internet of
Things, smart home technology is remotely controlled
power, lighting and heating
systems. Example 2
