Sidey wins
PVC-U Window
& Door Project
of the Year
Halo fabricator Sidey is celebrating an
impressive win at the LHC 2014 Awards.
LHC is a leading notfor-profit public sector
purchasing consortium that provides best
value procurement
solutions for the refurbishment, retrofit and
maintenance of social
housing, schools and
other public sector
buildings in England,
Wales and Scotland.
Perth-based Sidey was
awarded ‘PVC-U Window
and Door Project’ for its
work with Fife Housing
Association, having refur-
bished hundreds of social
housing properties throughout the region.
Joint MD Steve Hardy
explains: “We started work
with Fife HA and the LHC
just over five years ago and,
to date, we have fitted new
windows and doors for
more than 1,500 properties
throughout Fife.
“The feedback and support we have received from
tenants and the housing association alike has been fantastic and we are delighted
to be making a difference to
the quality of homes in the
Fife area.”
The company not only
met, but far exceeded the
demanding targets for the
award.
“The quality of the Halo
products we use was definitely a contributing factor
in our win, as we know
these high-spec PVC-U systems carry all the accreditations demanded in social
housing projects.
“As well as product quality,
we were praised for client
satisfaction, service and
using local employment for
direct and support services.
“One of the main things
that helped us take home
the trophy was the fact that
we achieved 100% for waste
minimisation.
“In line with our
ISO14001/ISO9001/
OHSAS18001 Integrated
Management System, Sidey
has a Total Waste Recycling Strategy for all of our
products which allows us
to recycle ALL of the waste
that we generate on refurbishment projects.
“We partner with the UK’s
leading waste management
companies. On refurbishment projects, such as this,
