World Water Day Assembly

On the 20th of March, 2016 9A and 9C conducted a themed pecial assembly on World Water Day. The focal point of the assembly was a play entitled “Water Spells Life”. The plot of the play encompassed three children who weren’t bothered with conserving water and were unaware of the consequences of wasting water. That is, until three water ghosts from the past, present and future visit them in their dreams and opened their eyes to the reality of water scarcity. Along with my peers Kavini, Umama and Ana Vida, the script and the assembly as a whole came to life. It was a fun yet challenging experience having to plan out the assembly, choose the actors, dancers and the backstage/behind-the-scenes managing crew and to put everything together and rehearse. With all the fever and fret of practice and rehearsal, everyone managed to finish the last minute details and together, we were able to put on a smooth assembly. In the end, we were rewarded by our school peers’ appreciative applauses, which indeed confirmed that our hard work had really paid off.
