Educational excursions are a great way of blending learning with fun and entertainment. This year PPS students toured Spain and Portugal during their spring break. It was an enriching experience as they got to learn about the rich culture, history, architecture and heritage of Portugal during the guided tours of Sintra, Lisbon, Cascais and Estoril.
It was mesmerizing to witness the amalgamation of different cultures in Spain as the students visited Cordoba an important Roman city and a major Islamic centre in the middle ages. The great mosque of Cordoba - Le Mezquita and the ancient city of Toledo provided an insight into different architectural styles like Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance, Islamic and Moorish.
Tour of Spain is incomplete without a visit to The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid. Our football enthusiasts were awed as they toured the home stadium of one of their favourite clubs – Real Madrid.
The trip provided ample learning as students made the most of their time enjoying with friends
