Basketball and Football Interschool Competitions
Our young athletes participated in an interclass basketball and football tournament. The school basketball team joined the Under 15 tournament in New Indian Model School, Sharjah on 27th January 2019.
Also, the school football team from Year 4 competed in the Under10 Tournament in Kindergarten School on 11th February 2019.
PPS Under 13 football team participated in the Football tournament. PPS defeated Bilva school by 1:0. To reach the semi-finals and defeated JSS International school by 1:0 to reach the final. The exciting final match between PPS and JSS Private school ended in a 2:2 full time tie, followed by penalty shoot out tie. The match was decided by sudden death and PSS emerged runner up. The team fought brilliantly in all the matches, demonstrated sportsmanship and team spirit.
Sacha Tariro 6D was awarded the best player of the tournament. Well done team PPS!
In the Under 13 NIMS Mini Basketball tournament PPS team defeated Gulf Model School and lost the match with St. Mary’s and DPS Dubai school to secure the 3rd position with a difference of 2 points. (11:13)
Under 14 Football tournament held on May 1st in GEMS private school Dubai. Three teams participated in the league tournament. PPS matches with GEMS private and MSB private ended in a tie. Based on point
scoring system, PPS secured second place in the league tournament.
Bilal Ajwad of 6B was awarded the Best Player of the tournament. Well done team PPS !
