nounced the sale of its machines
to two customers. Veronica
Printers based in Haridwar bought a
die-cutting machine and a folder gluer
from Robus India. Apart from this, an-
other customer named International
Paper Products Manufacturing based
in Kuwait bought a die-cutting unit, a
folder gluer and a flute laminator from
Robus India. The company is extremely
happy with the service and training sup-
port it received from Robus. It is happy
with the installation of this machine and
says that it has been receiving good re-
turns on the capital investment.
The company went on to say that
the Robus team helped them run some
of the most critical and complicated
jobs on the machine successfully. It is
looking forward to working with Robus
again.
At the Robus stand at Printpack, we
spoke to Prem P Vishwakarma, the di-

ful. “We were new during the previous
edition of Printpack. We were inter-
acting with the customers and trying
to educate them but this time we have
been very busy at the show and have
sold 10 machines at the show. Print-
pack served as the perfect platform for
us to meet new clients. We as suppliers
got a chance to explain our products to
many,” says Vishwakarma.
Faridabad-based Paragon Packag-
ings has purchased a JC1100 folder gluer
with multiple gluers. The company is in
packaging for more than 20 years now.
The company began with a small cor-
rugation unit and over a period of time
it diversified to printing as well. Apart

elican displayed its new turret type
slitter rewinder at Printpack 2019.
Most of the customers that visited
the Pelican stand were pretty impressed
with the machine. “Having said that I
must say that since Printpack India is an
exhibition that focuses more on offset
and narrow web categories, the response
was a little dull. But again, this was ex-
pected as this is not our forte. Days later
from now, at the Indiaplast exhibition at
the same venue, we will display the same
slitting and rewinding machine with our
new extrusion lamination machine and a
Cerutti print station. We will be targeting
big converting houses such as Huhtam-
aki PPL and Creative Polypack among
others,” says Hiren Solanki, marketing
executive at Pelican.
For the Printpack show, the com-
pany invited a few of its customers
who had visited the Pelican stand
and witnessed its TTR slitting and re-
winding machine running. However,
Solanki says that the overall response
has been good and the company has
received quite a few enquiries during
the show. The changeover time of the
new slitting and rewinding machine is
nearly 30 seconds, half as compared

tons also and to support its monocarton
business, the company bought the new
folder gluer from Robus. Paragon Pack-
aging will be closing this financial year
with 25 crores per annum and aims to
go up to 40 crores next year and hopes
to achieve the target with the newly pur-
chased Robus machine.

“Overall, the demand in the indus-
try has been good over the years. But
still, I believe that the demand will take
a hit in the upcoming year due to the
ban on plastics. Most of our existing
customers have expanded and we have
received repeat orders from them. We
also managed to gain some customers
up north,” Solanki adds.
The company is also planning to
expand the portfolio of the machines
in the upcoming year. Apart from the
new extrusion lamination machine that
the company has recently introduced,
it plans to bring out a fully engineered
CI Flexo machine. Earlier, the company
was offering stack type flexo machine
and now plans to bring CI Flexo to the
market. The project is planned for 2020
according to the inputs received we re-
ceived from Solanki at the Pelican stand.
The company has also expanded its ex-
isting plant. In conclusion, Solanki says
that the company is very happy with the
GST regime and it finds the documenta-
tion process also quite simple.
