Education Week
2014 marks the 60th anniversary of the first
Education Week held in 1954. Education
Week is held each year in public
schools across the state. Activities
and events showcase and highlight the
quality and diversity of education in our
schools.
Hay Public School held their first Ready Set
Kinder, preparing students for full time
Kindergarten next year, and invited parents,
grandparents and friends to visit students
classrooms. A concert and art display were
held in the school hall to showcase students
work.
A special visitor to Hay War Memorial High
School, Aunty Mary Hooker, told students a
powerful story of overcoming adversity and
the Hay High Ten was run. This years top
place getters are: 1st. Corey Poole – 45.13,
2nd. Toby Crighton – 47.19 and 3rd. Zac
Fitzpatrick – 48.11
