Hay Cutters get behind Mental Health Initiative RUOK
The Hay Cutters rugby union Ladies Day match was played under rain, but this did not dampen the sprits of players or
spectators. Wearing special RUOK jerseys to raise awareness of mental health issues, the Cutters beat the Wagga
Waratahs 39 – 12. The RUOK jumpers were auctioned off at the South Hay
Pub after the game.
Alix McFarland, secretary, and the committee: Jock Campbell, Justin
Campbell, Simon Booth, Janine Bryant, Manning Doughty, Chris Molineaux,
John Porter, Nick Milliken, Sandy Symons and others who helped on the day,
catered for and organised the RUOK? day in conjunction with the Cutters
annual Ladies Day. Nibbles, lunch and drinks were the order of the day, rugged
up against the cold and watching a spectacular game of football.
Alix McFarland, thanked
all concerned, posting on
her facebook page.
“Thanks to your support
and generosity, the Hay
Cutters have today
donated $3,000 to
R U OK?. We've asked
for the funds to be
allocated to raising
awareness of mental
health issues in regional
areas”.
