Not Just Books At the Hay Library
Hay Shire Council and Holroyd City Council will be
launching “Paint the Town REaD” on Monday 31st March.
Staff of Holroyd Council are giving a presentation on an
early literacy scheme to encourage the whole community to
read, talk, sing and rhyme with children.
Poppy Possum will be visiting the Hay Library on Tuesday
1st April at 10.30am, during Children’s Reading time.
Poppy is from Holroyd and has been a popular visitor to
Hay in the past.
Tuesdays - Children's Reading and Activities from 10:30am
to 11:00am.
DVD’s - Rated G, PG, M and M+. Cartoons, movies and
documentaries. Also a range of TV series including
‘Downton Abbey’ and ‘All the Rivers Run’.
Hear a Book - popular books on CD (audio). Good for long
car or truck trips, driving a tractor or sight impairment.
Music CD’s - Various artists. Or try a meditation CD.
Internet - Computers are open to the public for research
and general use. Charges may apply, see the friendly staff
before you start. Wifi for your own computer - charges
apply.
Photocopying and Printing: Charges apply.
Knitting - is held every second Wednesday throughout the
year. Knitters of all calibre are invited to join the group.
Hey kids, Amy Young, at the Hay Library, has some
great pictures for you to colour. When you borrow your
next lot of books, grab a poster, colour it in and you
could win a prize. Entries must be received by the 14th
April, 2014.
Hay Library has a well stocked range of
local history books and booklets.
Help solve the puzzle at the library. When you pick up
new books, why not spend a moment or two fitting some
pieces to the puzzle.
