MYSTERY BOX
A new concept in Fundraising Rallies is the Mystery Box
rally which visited Hay recently. A break away from the
Cancer Council’s biggest private fundraiser Sh*tbox Rally,
Mystery Box also raises money for the Cancer Council.
The twist for drivers here is that the money raised prior to
the start of the rally is the amount they can spent on their
car. So $5,000 gets a better car than $3,000 and gives
participants encouragement to raise more. Manheim,
Australia's leading car auction company, sourced 50 cars
to host a private auction for Mystery Box the night prior to
departure. All funds raised go towards vital Cancer
Council research initiatives.
The rally is a light hearted approach to a serious cause
and this fundraiser is completely unique with teams
approaching the starting point in Melbourne with nothing
but their personal essentials.
