New Surfacing for Hay Tennis Courts
Council has provided $ 10,000 towards the refurbishment of the Hay Tennis Courts. A $ 50,000 interest free loan will meet the balance of the work done on courts 1-4.
After 30 years of constant use the old courts were getting“ a bit worn”.
Courts were resurfaced and levelled before laying the new’ grass’.

Root barriers have been put in place in order that tree roots in future cannot penetrate the tennis courts. This process was undertaken to preserve at least one memorial tree in the vicinity of the courts.
