Lion’ s Service Club Market Day
After raining the day before, stall holders for the Lion’ s Service Club markets, were relieved to wake to sunshine on the 29th July.
Hobbypreneurs manned tables of home baked goodies, cards, knitted items, jewellery, body scrubs and scented candles. Racks of clothing from children to adult sizes, shoes and boots, garden decorations and fresh fruit and veg filled the Lion’ s Park for one of the biggest markets in a long time.
September 28th is the next Lion’ s Market Day. It is hoped that the Springtime market will be even bigger.
Cooper West is a singer / song writer from Melbourne. Pictured with Jan Eames is Cooper’ s father who brought Cooper’ s new CD to the markets. Titled‘ Edge of the World’ the CD is a compilation of five country rock songs that come from the artists heart and soul.
Beryl Donohue and Julie Smith investigated Jan Jacka’ s jewellery table. Jan also sold raffle tickets for the SSAA Club,( Sporting Shooters Association of Australia) for a Waco fridge.

Caravanning visitors to Hay stopped in at the Lion’ s Markets.“ Hay is a beautiful town,” they said,“ The parks are neat and tidy. We are always impressed when we come here.” Travelling‘ up north’ for warmer weather, the couple enjoyed lunch and a hot cuppa before continuing their journey.
