Interactive is used everywere but you don't see it like when you go school, college or work the software there you will use is interactive media. for example like software like adobe flash, adobe phtoshop, paint these software all use interactive media.
Devices like tablet, phones and other gadgets you will use they will have interactive media, the buttons on you touch screen gadget how you interact with them will have a diffrent impact.
