Applications, assets and interactivity

Interactive media can be found and used in many aspects of life including in entertainment, marketing, presentations, product catalogues and documentation.

It is used in order to engage people so that they can feel a sense of involvement when being presemted with something. Interactivity helps makes things fun and engages people more through the way it allows them to 'feel'.

People can be engaged via sounds, text, videos, pictures or animations. These are different way of which peoples attentions can be caught. They are interactive in ways such as they produce sound or some sort of visual effect when prompted.

Interactive features can be activated via the use of buttons, events, hotspots, scripting, timelines or slideshows. So they can either be triggered depending on what a user does, for example if they click a certain button or complete a certain activity they trigger a responsive event. The other way that interactive features are triggered are by the way they are programmed. After a certain amount of time or once a certain action has been completed beforehand this activates them.
