PLANNING FOR PRIDE 2019
In February , prior to COVID-19 becoming an issue in the Coastal Bend , the MPST sought the community ’ s assistance in selecting a slogan or motto to guide and empower the celebration of PRIDE Month ( June 2020 ) and encourage broad support and participation in local PRIDE Week activities planned for May 31 through June 7 , 2020 . The logo for PRIDE 2020 was developed by Brad Snyder of Snyder + Associates .
Using the PRIDE Corpus Christi website and Facebook page , the MPST sought public input on three English and Spanish concepts to be prominently used on the PRIDE Corpus Christi website , social media posts and be emblazoned on t-shirts and event signage . The three slogan and mottos considered were :
Vision of our Future / La Visión de Nuestro Futuro Our Voices Count / Nuestras Voces Cuentan Stand Out , Stand Proud / Destácate , Enorgullécete
After a month of voting , the overwhelming slogan favored by the community for PRIDE 2020 selected in March 2020 was Stand Out , Stand Proud / Destácate , Enorgullécete .
For the fourth time since the inception of PRIDE Week celebrations in Corpus Christi , a contest was planned to reward an LGBTQIA + couple with a free wedding during PRIDE Week in June
