The podcast also references challenges that many in the LGBTQIA + community continue to struggle with including mental health issues . They also examined the recent actions by the State of Texas to attempt to allow the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners to social workers from
turning away clients on the basis of disability , sexual orientation or gender identity . After much public outcry the Board reversed itself one month later . It demonstrates the continued attention and diligence the LGBTQIA + must pay to maintain equality , justice and fairness .
