About the authors
Stephen McGuire
Stephen is Oxford Medical’s Managing Director and a Member of the College of Optometrists. Before
concentrating upon career development for doctors, he worked as Clinical Development Manager at
Dollond & Aitchison, being responsible for the recruitment, development, standards of compliance and
performance of optometrists. This involved designing large scale recruitment processes and managing
interview selection centres.
Ashar Wadoodi
Ashar is a Consultant Transplant & Access Surgeon at St Georges Hospital London. He trained in
transplantation in London & Miami and has a keen interest in supporting doctors through education and
teaching. Ashar has been involved with the interview process at both the medical school and post graduate
deanery level. As a member of Oxford Medical Training’s Tutor Faculty, he is a regular contributor to the
development and delivery of interactive courses for doctors.
