s we come into Spring and Summer, one of the many things that many of us are allergies or allergic rhinitis. Many times this disorder presents itself when a person is deficient in Vitamin A.

The classic severe form of a Vitamin A deficiency is night blindness. If you find yourself not seeing as well at night and oncoming traffic lights tend to blind you, that is a positive sign of Vitamin A deficiency. In my experiences, allergic rhinitis is a precursor to possible Vitamin A deficiency.

Fixing this deficiency sometimes can be a little tricky. There are several reasons for this. The body creates Vitamin A from carotene emphasis in recent years.

Zinc is also required for optimal Vitamin A metabolism (as well as

proper calcification of bone) and Vitamin A is a fat

soluble vitamin. What this means is that to process

Vitamin A correctly, one must eat good fats as well.

The best way to correct a small Vitamin A deficiency is through diet. This means eat more RAW leafy green vegetables with your steak dinner. So the green mix salad (e.g. kale, collard greens, mustard greens, spinach, broccoli) is better than the potato that we all grew up with. If the deficiency becomes a little more acute, then supplementation comes next.
