Dayton

This park is planned to be located off of 117th Avenue near Brayburn Trails, Brayburn East and Sundance Greens. The park would be developed in several phases. The first phase would be the northern half of the property. Planned for this phase are soccer and pickleball / tennis courts, parking, a basketball half-court, a sand volleyball area, a cornhole area, a play area and a shelter. Other future amenities of the park could include a ballfield and a native prairie. The city also received a $ 100,000 grant from the Hennepin County’ s Youth Activities Grants program.
Cypress Cove / Ione Gardens, which has been under the city’ s direction since last year, will be improved with landscaping and an irrigation system. A shelter structure is also under consideration.
Elsie Stephens Park improvements include completion of a bridge over the ravine on the northern side of the park( next to the river) and a fabric shade shelter for the performance stage.

The city of Dayton has its offices at 12260 S. Diamond Lake Road. Departments at City Hall include administrative, fire, police and public works.

Residential developments
Several residential projects have come before the Dayton City Council over the past year.
One of the biggest projects being considered is the DCM

The Norsq Maple Grove phase 2 development will include 53 townhomes to replace an apartment building on site at 17425 101st Ave.
The fourth addition of the Rush Hollow development has final plat approval for 12 townhome lots between 14300 and 15024 Territorial Road.

The Osseo City Hall building is located at 415 Central Ave. City services located inside include administrative, fire and police. There is also a branch of the Hennepin County Library.

Riverwalk Third Addition will be adding 25 single-family residential lots to the development located south of Dayton River Road.
The second phase of Brayburn Trails East has been approved for 62 single-family residential lots. This development is located east of Brayburn Trails and south of 117th Avenue.

Sundance Greens 11th Addition was approved. This project will add 31 single-family residential units to the development just south of Sundance Entertainment and Golf Course.
The Dayton Parkway Neighborhood would consist of multifamily and commercial / retail development in the southwest corner of Interstate 94 and Dayton Parkway. The first phase final plat was approved by the City Council and will include a 180-unit apartment building.
Commercial / industrial
Development in the commercial and industrial areas of the city is growing. The following are some recently-proposed projects.
Graco celebrated the opening of its new Worldwide Distribution Center last summer. The 500,000-square-foot building, built on a previously vacant 100-acre parcel of land, is one of Graco’ s largest U. S. facilities. It was built with growth in mind, giving the company the opportunity to expand an additional 200,000 square feet in the future.
Kwik Trip has proposed a convenience store at the northeast corner of I-94 and Dayton Parkway. There will be stalls for overnight semi truck parking as well.
