MODERATORS

Jordi Guixé, Director of the European Observatory on Memories( EUROM) since 2012 and professor at the University of Barcelona. A historian specializing in Francoist repression and political exile, he has advised numerous institutions on memory policies. Author of La República perseguida( 2012) and Past and Power( 2016).
Oriol López Badell, Historian and international relations officer, he coordinates the European Observatory on Memories( EUROM) at the University of Barcelona’ s Solidarity Foundation. He has curated exhibitions and public events on cultural and memorial heritage and was a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York.
Silvia Marimon, Culture journalist specializing in history, co-author of La dictadura de pedra on the Valley of the Fallen. She has worked with El País, Sàpiens, and in documentaries such as La leyenda del tiempo by Isaki Lacuesta. She currently writes for Diari Ara.
Kostis Kornetis, Professor of Contemporary History at Madrid Autonomous University and academic advisor to España en Libertad: 50 años. He studied in Munich and London, holds a PhD from the European University Institute, and has taught at Brown and NYU. Author of Children of the Dictatorship( 2013), his research focuses on memory, authoritarianism, oral history, and cinema.
Marije Hristova, Researcher specializing in cultural, forensic, and environmental memory in Spain and Eastern Europe. She has published widely on transnational memory frameworks and mass grave exhumations in Spain and Poland. Former Assistant Professor at Radboud University, Marie Curie fellow at Warwick, and postdoctoral researcher at CSIC in the H2020 UNREST project. In 2025 she was awarded a Ramón y Cajal contract at CSIC.
