Who is Dave Morgan? Dave classifies himself as an Event Coordinator, but he is much more than that. Promoting and booking shows has become his favorite hobby to do in his spare time. He is a father, a friend, but most of all a pleasure to have around and work with. He will help artists book shows in other towns by sending their music and contact information to the network of people he has had the honor of meeting. Along with all the shows he puts on, he also started up a weekly podcast.
Dave Morgan started promoting and booking shows almost two years ago. He started off because some patrons at the Old Town Pub (OTP) in Silverdale, WA suggested to him that they wanted to hear live music again, so Dave called up a friend of his that had already been trying to get him into promoting and they worked to get Dave started on this path. When Dave started he had the mindset that this would keep his mind off the events that led to him becoming a regular patron at OTP. Dave kicked off his first show Halloween Night 2013 and blew everyone away with the music and how many people he brought into the show. It was at this point that he fell in love with the music industry.
Over the last year and a half, Dave has put together countless shows, and has set an impression to both the artists and other promoters that says this guy loves what he does. In an interview Dave did with his Co-Host Owen Eardley, he was asked, “What has kept you alive, what has kept you through it?” Dave responds with “I have done a lot of shows in the last year in a half… I think what keeps me going is there is always going to be good shows and bad shows, good crowds and bad crowds, and really cool bands to work with… What it boils down to is the musicians giving their support and encouragement that has kept me going.”
