FEATURED ARTIST SECTION

"One of the NW finest all around rock guitarists, Robert is indeed a busy man nowadays. With his fingers wrapped around 3 marquee projects ( The Body Electric - a tribute to RUSH, ODark30 - folk rock based original music, and his own band, Robert Fowlers' Digital Chemistry - eclectic alternative instrumental and vocal based rock), he seeks "the road less traveled" in his search for a singular voice on his chosen instrument. A student of the guitar since 71', he turned professional in 86', playing in a number of top notch cover bands until making the transition to original music around 2004. Since then he has written, produced, and engineered approximately 100 or more songs for not only his own projects, but also several other local area artists. His own instrumental compositions have garnered international recognition and acclaim, several remaining top 10 for more than 12 weeks in their respective markets. Originally a student of the piano, Robert picked up his first guitar while attracted to the music of the Beatles. As he grew up, an eclectic mix of music, from Big Band, show tunes, and soundtracks, to fusion jazz, and early metal, molded a young player to be more than just a "one trick pony". Playing steadily in covers taught him the lessons only live playing can teach, a Fender Sales rep who saw him years ago remarked "he is one of the most disciplined players I have ever seen", "three nights of performances, not one mistake". While that may or may not be true, Robert has made a conscious effort to improve his skill sets over the years, and it is now paying off, as he is generally recognized locally as one of the best individual guitar stylists around the NW. His performances are technically brilliant, with a polished delivery, and yet, a heart that feels every note, every rhythmic turn of phrase, as an window to his soul, willing to bear it for his audience, honestly, and without reservations."
