Dry skin, accelerated aging, hair loss, acne, hirsutism, weight gain are just

At times, it is important for one to understand the underlying condition in order
to offer successful satisfactory treatment to the visiting client. This class will
offer the opportunity for the professional to better understand the complexities
of evaluating skin health and related underlying hormonal disorder. This will
enable the skin specialist to provide optimum care and best results when
working concomitantly with a multidisciplinary team.

The skin specialist will see many clients who will present with Melasma or
hyperpigmentation. Often, it is very difficult to achieve satisfactory results
on many of these patients. Most of these people have tried many topicals,
lasers, chemical peels and other alternative options only to be left frustrated
and disappointed at the results. In this class, we will evaluate the foundation
pathway for melanogenesis and look at key steps where melanin synthesis
may be potentially inhibited. We will look at the treatment options currently
available and how some of the new novel therapies may work and provide skin
whitening and brightening effects. Upon the completion of this class, the skin
care professional should be in a much better position to recommend treatment
options that will be based on skin science and knowledge which should
provide superior clinical results.

care products and professional treatments including acid peels.
