Ohio State Cosmetology and Barber Board CE Requirements
An individual that holds a license to practice cosmetology , a branch of cosmetology , barbering , or an instructor / teacher license is required to complete the following CE hours :
One ( 1 ) hour - Board Laws and Rules Course
This course will be applied to multiple licenses . NOTE : Only provided by the Board , available on CE Broker
Three ( 3 ) hours – Infection Control & Safety
This course will be applied to multiple licenses .
Sunday & Monday , 9:00a - 12:00p Beauty & Barber Safety : Compliance & Best Practices with Jaime Schrabeck
Sunday & Monday , 1:00 - 4:00p Ohio State Board Safety & Sanitation with Cynthia Malcom
ROOM : B131-132
All Barber CE hours are required to be completed by August 15 , 2024 .
All Cosmetology CE hours are required to be completed by January 15 , 2025 .
If you are required to complete CE hours , and those hours are NOT completed by the deadline , you will not be able to complete your license renewal until new CE courses become available . If a license is NOT renewed by the expiration date of the license held , a late fee will be charged .
RENEWAL OF A LICENSE IS A 2-STEP PROCESS
Step 1 : Complete all required CE hours . Completion of CE hours is reported to CE Broker by the Provider of the CE class .
Step 2 : Go to https :// elicense . ohio . gov log in to your Elicense account and complete the renewal application and submit the required fee ( s ).
