Only provided by the Board/Free online class.
• Licensees who have held a board license for thirty (30) or more years before October 3, 2020, are exempt from the requirement to
complete continuing education hours in order to renew their active license. This is determined based on the initial issuance date of
each license type held.
• Licensees who are age sixty-fi ve (65) or older before October 3, 2020, are exempt from the requirement to complete continuing
education hours in order to renew their active license.
• If this is your fi rst Ohio license, you are not required to obtain CE hours for this renewal period. An Instructors license is not eligible
for this exemption.
NOTE: Exemptions do not apply to a lapsed or Inactive/escrowed license renewal/reinstatement.
Lapsed/Amnesty
If a renewal fee has not been received for two-consecutive renewal periods (4 years), the license will go into a “LAPSED” status. To restore the
license to an ACTIVE status, the licensee is required to pay all back fees and obtain up to twenty-four (24) hours of CE.
