down the
creation of his
new album, but
has kept him in
the public’s eye
since the ’90s,
when he coformed the funk
band Lettuce
in Boston.
played him those and he was like, “Why
don’t you just add some of this vibe to
the other songs?”
Some of it was just mix stuff and
some of it adding new sonic elements.
So even though he wasn’t there for 80
percent of the recording, Jeremy helped
me finish—take the last lap with it. He
sat in on the mix sessions and added
background vocals on a bunch of tracks.

else to push me to finish. I had everyone
