Area: Defensive Third to Middle Third Equipment: Soccer balls, cones, bibs, mini goals Players: 20 + 2GK, 4v4 + 3 Possession Warm-Up Objectives: Technical – passing, receiving. Tactical – Spacing and triangulation. Length – 5 minutes, 3 reps
Description: Grid 28x36yards. Team in possession plays end to end, progress to keeping score each time a team is able to play to both outside neutrals.
What does learning look like? Team in possession has good body shape, is able to play forward and use triangulation with central player to progress ball across

Players will work on different patterns to progress ball through gates. Technical: Passing, receiving, body shape. Tactical: Spacing, triangulating, width
Description: Functional: Building in Attacking Half, Shadow Play
Players will start at blue restraining cone, coach will play long ball over top or shot. Players will transition to attacking shape and progress ball thru gate. 10 minutes. What does learning look like?
Quickly transition to attacking shape, quality of passes – weight and accuracy, movement off ball to triangulate
Progressions / Variations: Different patterns, play long diagonal pass from 4 to 3, 5 to 2
Coaching Points: What does learning look like? Quickly transition to attacking shape, quality of passes – weight and accuracy, movement off ball to triangulate. When # 5 has ball are # 3 are # 6 triangulating? Can we draw red team to one side of field and quickly switch play? If attacking team is too compact and shifted to one side can # 4 play to # 3 with long diagonal ball?
