ATTACKING TRANSITION

1. PASSING WARM-UP
» 20 yd. length by 10 yd width for each progression.
» 3 progressions( depending on skill level of your players).
» Players always return to same side they started on.
( A) Player checks, receives open to the field, and plays ball back to where they checked from. Player returns to same side.
( B) Player checks, one-touch passes back to player who passed it, who then plays it to opposing side.
( C) Player checks, one-touch passes back to player who passed it, who then plays it to opposing side, who then one-touches it back to original player who checked and onetouch back to same side.
2. 4V2 2 TRANSITION RONDO
» Two 10 x 10 yd grids with 5 yds. in between.
» Two touch. 6 consecutive passes in your grid is a point.
» When defense team wins the ball, defenders play ball to opposite grid and join to create 4 in their grid. Two players from opposing team enter grid as defenders.
» If ball goes out of bounds, the team that touched it last begins next possession on defense.
» Coaching points should be focused on quick transition to attack, creating good angle of support, reading defenders on transition.
