Area: Two Grids 35x48 yards w / two mini goals each Where on the Field: Attacking Half Players: 16 players in four teams of four in different colors Objectives: * Warm-Up- Physical Activation- Introduce theme of Diamond Shape building up
* Assess team’ s ability to maintain team attacking shape without coaching
Description: Grids set up with bibs; as players arrive start free play. Build to 4v4 on each grid; let the kids play for 4 minutes then group dynamics for 2 minutes.
- Introduce the theme: Creating space in the opponent with team shape. Rotate teams and play for another 4 minutes and watch how players respond.
Progressions / Variations:- Rotate players to make teams competitive- Organize players into teams by lines to build cohesion
Coaching Points: Guided Questions.- How can players off the ball create openings in the opposition?- Are we using all the space?- Show me how we can support the ball using windows.

Description: Diamonds set up on each half with balls and players starting at half field. Use passing patterns to create chances in the final third.
- Introducing passing options, player movement, and timing- Work through two passing patterns( 5 minutes each) and then switch sides.- Every passing pattern finishes with a shot on frame- Players follow their pass and fill empty spots on the diamonds.
Progressions / Variations:- 3rd Man Run( red sticks)- Wall Pass( yellow sicks)- Up-Back-Through- Interchange
Coaching Points: Direct Commands.-Hold players accountable on technical passing- Weight and accuracy of passes sets teammates up for success / challenge- Set up your defender w / counter movement before checking to ball- Visual cues of when to check; eye contact; prep touch
