Holiday Block Party
This free family-friendly event features holiday kids ’ crafts , food trucks , games , music , and more . The Garner Express , a 24-person train ride , will take you on a trip around the outdoor walking trail . When Santa Claus joins the party be ready for those family pictures !
After the Holiday Block Party , enjoy the Garner Christmas Parade , produced by the Garner Christmas Parade Committee , at approximately 4:30pm on Main Street . Hear Snerd the Groundhog ’ s official prediction for an early spring or six more weeks of winter . See live animals , visit educational booths , meet Smokey Bear , enjoy storytime on the stage , and much , much more ! Snerd will deliver her prediction at the stage at noon sharp .
Big Sweep / Litter Sweep
Help keep Garner clean and green by removing litter from our parks , roadways , and streams . Volunteers should wear close-toed shoes and bring drinking water and sun protection . Clean-up equipment will be provided . Report to the Holly Shelter to receive equipment . Pre-registration is strongly encouraged . On-site registration begins at 8:45am .
