Practicing in Pennsylvania: A Guide for the New Dentist March 2016 | Page 4

The Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA) welcomes you to dentistry in Pennsylvania! PDA is pleased to provide you with this copy of Practicing in Pennsylvania: A Guide for the New Dentist.

This manual was compiled by PDA’s New Dentist Committee as a resource to help you transition from dental school to daily dental practice. It highlights the many benefits of practicing in Pennsylvania.

I remember receiving this publication when I was at Temple, and I wish I would have given it more time. This publication gives you a well worded synopsis of how ADA, PDA, and local dental associations fit together (tripartite membership), and what these organizations can do for you. It is a wealth of information for a soon to be or recent graduate and is a quick read. Good luck everyone!

Rich Miller, DMD

Vice Chair of the New Dentist Committee.

Dr. Miller is a graduate of Temple University (2013) and currently practices near State College.
