This exciting program from Afterschool Enrichment Solutions brings together elements of science, art and math in a hands-on, action-packed environment! Students will conduct experiments, play educational games, and unlock their creativity through building challenges and projects. No experience necessary!

Intro to Magic

Come learn some basic magic tricks and how to truly perform magic! Learn from Patrick Flanagan who has been doing magic for over 30 years! The main goal of this class is to build confidence and learn how to work an audience! Each participant will leave with a trick to perform on their own for their friends and family.

Up, Up and Away Model Airplanes

Learn to make a new rubber band powered flying model from balsa wood. Have fun building, flying and learning how to fix the models if they break. Each week a new model will be assembled. All models will be tested and trimmed and then taken home.

Stage Stars Camp

Does your child have a“ dramatic side”? You might have a budding Stage Star in your family! Our drama class introduces students to the craft of stage acting with a skilled theater instructor. During this exciting class, students will learn theatrical skills, improv basics, and participate in interactive drama games. This class provides opportunities for students to have fun, express themselves, gain confidence, and interact with others, all within the context of theatre arts.

Chess Scholars Camp

Develop your child’ s intellect through the royal game of Chess! This half-day camp is perfect for beginners as well as experienced players. Each day of camp will consist of a fun interactive teaching period, followed by guided practice time, allowing the students to play against one another while being coached by an experienced instructor. The camp session will conclude with a non-elimination tournament.

Chess Camp

Say yes to Chess!! Chess Wizards has been teaching the game of chess since 2002. Join in this summer for tons of challenging chess lessons, exciting games, and cool prizes. Participants will improve their chess skills, meet new friends, and work out their most powerful muscle- the brain! This camp includes fun team chess games( like Corner Chess), recess time( of course), snacks, tournaments, and puzzles. Each camper receives a T-shirt, trophy, and puzzle folder. All materials necessary will be provided.

Illinois Chess Teacher Camp

Learn a new game or sharpen your skills. Open to all experience levels from complete beginners to tournament player. Open to ages 5-14 years old. There is a $ 30 discount on the 2nd sibling registration.

Chess camp includes a combination of lessons, play, and activities:
