The piazza
Topshop village public showspace installations will take
place on Covent Garden’s piazza. The piazza is an iconic
landmark of Central London, well known by many people
across the world as a landmark of the British Capital.
The piazza of Covent Garden was a centre for popular
activities for many centuries until being revamp as a modern retail centre in the 1970’s (1*). Thanks to its unique
environment and pedestrian advantage, Covent Garden
has become a popular area for locals and tourists.
Covent Garden’s piazza surface is about 6000 square
meters (2*), much of which is occupied by the large market located at its centre. The piazza is the largest space
in the Covent Garden area and the only one capable to
welcome the Topshop Village’s installations. The large daily
footfall of the area will ensure a strong flow of visitors to the
event.
