LETTER from the EDITOR

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

November is the darkest month. While the temperature in most areas of the country grows colder, November in Seattle takes on a slightly different cast. In this far northwest corner of the country, the wind and rain sweep in with monsoon-like velocity. November is also time for another storm—the final reckoning of political elections.

Lest we forget, written by our colleague Dave Bresler, commemorates our Veterans who fought on foreign soil to protect our interests at home.

In this issue of the Connector, we cover a lot of terrain. We explore the inner workings of master designer Tim Girvin. We look at all kinds of stuff: the plight of plastic, paper batteries, origami robots, Black Friday, retail hubs in Boston and new businesses spouting up everywhere from Lincoln Nebraska to Northwestern Pennsylvania. As always, we are interested in your news. How will you spend your Thanksgiving? Do you participate in Black Friday? What does gratitude mean to you? From all of us at PR for People, we send you good wishes during this month of reflection and Thanksgiving.

Postnote: Tracy Kaler, who was covering news in the Bronx, has left us to write a New York City guide book with a publisher in Berlin. The guide book will be published by National Geographic in France and then translated into other languages. Dhylles Davis, the Coaching Cupid, will now cover news in the Bronx.
