Jean Y. Kang has joined Pacific ADR Consulting, LLC as a panel member. Ms. Kang is an active trial lawyer with a diverse background, including criminal prosecution and both plaintiff and defense civil work. Ms. Kang has litigated and participated in numerous arbitrations and mediations for various civil litigation matters as counsel for both Plaintiff and Defendant.

Since 2009, Ms. Kang has been an active trial lawyer and currently has a civil litigation practice at Smith Freed Eberhard, P.C. with an emphasis on personal injury. Over the course of her career, Jean has successfully litigated a variety of civil litigation matters, including medical malpractice, wrongful death, fire losses, contract disputes, insurance fraud, and personal injury matters. Jean has tried more than 25 criminal cases to jury verdict, and has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations for civil matters as counsel for both Plaintiff and Defendant. Jean serves as an arbitrator in King County and also serves as a pro tem judge at Edmonds Municipal Court.
Ms. Kang said, “Through my experience of participating in numerous mediations and arbitrations, I have honed the ability to understand all of the parties in a dispute and to effectively guide them to reach a resolution. I hope to bring this experience to the panel with the objective of assisting parties to reach resolution that would otherwise not have been possible without my guidance.”
In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Kang serves on the WSBA Board of Governors and is on the state board for Washington Women Lawyers and Latina/o Bar Association of Washington. Jean has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Seattle University School of Law.
