For years, I’ve been going to the same nail salon, Top Nails Salon in the Queen Anne neighborhood. They do the best acrylics and shellacs in Seattle. I’ve gotten to know Anh, Le, Lan , Tammy and Jen, who work there. I admire their true grit and the powerful way they run their business. I know the stories about their children, and they know my children. I’m impressed with how hard they work to support their children. Le, who came to this country from Vietnam in 1993, has six children, all of whom have advanced degrees and stellar jobs. These women are not clients or subscribers to our service, but I think they deserve recognition for embodying the ideals of what makes America great.
