Why do we care so much about how much money we have? Is our net worth is the best yardstick to measure how valuable we are to the world? Maybe money is not the best measure of success.

We recently came across an interesting checklist, one that you should weigh along with any of your troubling concerns about money.

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Life means making a sequence of choices everyday that over time become increasingly complicated, interrelated, and woven together like a finely threaded web. As the old adage goes, one thing leads to another. Ultimately, it is your life. You, in effect, become the summation of all of the choices you have made.
