Wali was working on becoming the best Architect in New England, but his calling to be in show business was strong. One day, he told his mother he had decided to give up being an architect and instead he was going to be a comedian. Her response was “Y'NEVANO” (You never know). Soon Y’NEVANO became more than his mother’s encouragement to live a life without regrets, Y’NEVANO became a state of mind. If the Y’NEVANO philosophy could profoundly change Wali's life, he knew he could share the good news with everyone.
Wali’s guiding philosophy for life is Y’NEVANO. Y’NEVANO is meant to inspire, motivate
and encourage you to go for any of your dreams, goals or desires. As Wali says: “Are you brave enough to be you for all the world to see?”
Now Y’NEVANO has grown to become many things: a video, a book, a state of mind, and it is soon slated to be a reality show. This past April, Wali Collins was named in the Huffington Post as one of twelve Comedians to watch.
Wali's television stand-up credits include HBO, ABC's "The View", Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd", Commentary on VH1, to name a very few. David Letterman caught Wali's act and recruited him to warm-up for his show. Later that season Wali was a featured performer on the "Late Show with David Letterman" where he soon became a regular. He was nominated three years in a row as "College Campus Entertainer of the Year." In the words of Robert Klein, "Wali Collins is versatile, smart and very, very funny.”If you haven't seen Wali do his thing in either stand-up or speaking engagements, you're missing out on one very gifted man!
