Operation Smile - Fashion Show
In March 2023 , Pequannock High School ’ s Operation Smile club hosted a successful Fashion Show to raise funds for children who are born with cleft palates . Operation Smile is a non-profit organization that raises money for surgeries to help children with cleft lips and cleft palates . The Fashion Show featured prom dresses that were rented and borrowed from past seniors who graduated from PTHS . The senior models showcased these dresses on the runway .
The event was well-attended by students , families , and members of the PTHS community who purchased tickets to support the cause . In addition to the Fashion Show , Operation Smile hosted raffles with exciting prizes such as gift cards and bath and body works baskets .
The club used flyers and morning announcements to promote the Fashion Show , which helped to generate interest and attendance . Following the event , a senior member of the Operation Smile club shared her thoughts , stating , “ The Fashion Show is one of my favorite events that happens throughout the school year , and I ’ m glad we were able to raise a good amount of money !”
The Operation Smile Fashion Show was a true community effort . The club members and volunteers worked tirelessly to organize the event , reaching out to alumni for donations , promoting the event to the school community , and coordinating logistics .
