Remembering Traditions:

Growing up every Christmas eve we got to open one present, it was always a new set of warm jammies and every christmas morning we would wake up, eat breakfast and take pictures with the tree and each other just to remember that family was more important than the presents under the tree. As my sister and I grew older the tradition faded away. Instead of presents we began to receive gift cards and money so that we could pick out what we wanted. Now that I have a family of my own the tradition restarted but as 2.0 So my TRADITION now is the upgraded version:

All you need for this Christmas eve gift is a medium or large clothing box, Jammies and socks (I choose slipper socks) 1 small bag of popcorn (per kid) a small box/bag of their favorite candy. 1 small package of hot chocolate.

You can either choose a Holiday movie or a Holiday book .

Put everything in the box and wrap it. I put them aside for the kiddos to open on Christmas eve. I find that on Christmas eve We have dinner a bit earlier than normal. I tend to start cooking around 3:30 P.M so that we are completely done eating and the house is picked up by 5:00 P.M because that's when the festivities start!

Aside from playing Christmas music all day and doing various craft projects. We start Christmas eve off by Eating dinner, jumping in our jammies, popping the popcorn, and cuddling on the couch in a fluffy blanket and watching movies. Quality time with the Family is the most important part of the Holidays.

Happy Holidays everyone!
