Saint James School her story
Selina shared that her favorite thing about attending Saint James is , " Whether you ’ re interested in music , sports , or STEM , there is an activity and / or organization for you .” At Saint James , Selina serves as a student ambassador , a peer tutor for the writing center , a peer leader , a member of the Math Competition Team and Math Club , and the president of Mu Alpha Theta . She is also a member of the choir and an a cappella group . She received a spot as a cellist multiple times in the Alabama Orchestra Association All-State Festival .

Selina wants to become a surgeon . She explained , “ My interest in the medical field was first sparked when I was six and got sick with a pneumonia-like disease and had to stay in the hospital for a few weeks under precarious conditions . Even now , I still remember being fascinated and curious about what the doctors were doing to treat me .”

With any project or problem , she always thinks of clever and inventive ways to present information or solve an issue , no matter how simple or complex it is .
