Quotes
from our
Education Department:
“Young adults can sharpen their skills
for a career in the arts at our summer
camps,” said Betsy Anne Huggins, ASF’s
Director of Education and Community
Engagement. “Summer camps combat the
summer slump by keeping students active
and engaged in artistic practice.”
“Theatre education plays a vital role
in the lives of young people not just to
encourage the next generation of artists,
but because it fosters more collabora-
tive, confident, and curious youth,” said
Delaney Burlingame, ASF’s Education
Coordinator. “This summer, ASF is
offering opportunities for students of all
ages to experience the magic of drama.
Camp Shakespeare introduces students
to the poetry of William Shakespeare as
we explore all facets of theatre from voice
and movement to props and costumes.
Broadway South guides students through
the world of musical theatre as they build
skills in singing, acting, and dance. All
camps culminate in a celebratory perfor-
mance for friends and family on one of
ASF’s main stages. Whether this is your
first time on stage or you were dancing
before you could walk, camp at ASF is for
everyone.”
