her story
At Faith Academy, Baylee is a member the National Beta Club,
Pep Club, Oakleigh Belle Leadership Program, Senior choir and
Robotics team. She served as her Junior Class President and was
hand-picked out of 90 to participate in the Chambers Singers of
Faith, where she had the privilege of singing in Carnegie Hall in
New York City. She also participated as a Docent for the Historic
Homes Tour in Mobile, Ala., and was chosen out of 500 girls to
be a part of the 2013-2014 Azalea Trail Court. She also has done
volunteer work with the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and the USA
Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
When Baylee’s not busy serving her student body and community, she puts her efforts in growing her business: Purely Poetic
Photography. Growing up, she followed her uncle (a professional
photographer) around a lot and eventually her own passion for
taking pictures blossomed. Her Dad, Mom and Stepdad helped
her establish her photography business.
what’s next
“Running my own business has inspired me to participate in bigger things,” said Baylee. After graduation, she plans to continue
to be a business owner and also major in Marine Biology. Baylee
would like to pursue a career that allows her to be close to the
water, since swimming has been her favorite activity for years.

Although Baylee’s parents are divorced, she is most proud of their
integrity and unity. “Trials and tribulations are things which,
unfortunately, no family can avoid. My family has endured the
toughest of situations and still manages to stand side by side.
parents’ perspective
Baylee’s parents Erica and Kevin couldn’t be more proud of their
daughter. “Baylee is a born leader. She is fearless when it comes to
her cause,” said Erica. “Baylee will stand before her entire school to
educate them on the homelessness, a growing issue in our city, or
meet with a friend in need at the drop of the hat. This passion and
leadership is something that comes from within.”
parent-to-parent
“Pray for your child and believe in them. Listen to them
and encourage them. There is a mighty plan that has been
laid out for them and as parents, we have to guide them to
find their way,” said Erica.
